Similar content in our article predates the blog; see [1]. There is also evidence of natural evolution of this content. Restructuring here began to assemble this content into the form it appears in that blog, while the sentence on his obsession was added later by somebody else. --Moonriddengirl(talk)13:36, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
How is the name correctly pronounced? /rɔʤet/ like "Roger" and "budget"? /roʒeɪ/, as in French? —MichaelZ. 2007-05-19 16:55 Z
I'm not sure how likely it is that Roget used the French pronunciation in 18th/19th century England. However, according to the Q&A section on [2] (retrieved 2009-10-08), the family nowadays does use the French pronunciation. gdm (talk) 12:13, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's skimpy on this. For example, we know his wife "died young" but we don't have her name. We know that his son revised the Thesaurus after he died, but was this his only son, or indeed, child? Also, as a cross reference, Lady Franklin, in her younger days, had a crush on him; he "made her swoon." Nothing came of this romantically, but it's a nice story that perhaps should be listed here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bigmac31 (talk • contribs) 17:52, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
