[edit]The phrase "Since the DEA arrests 95%..." is ambiguous, but without a better knowledge of the source/subject I cannot suggest an edit. Physchim62 20:43, 4 May 2005 (UTC)
I believe two men were arrested a while ago for LSD, and the governemnt claimed they produced 95% of the LSD on the black market which is not that much considering how potent it is and how it requires an expert to produce. still i think it would be better to mention that event instead of the way its worded.
Why is the CAS Number that of Heroin?
That picture is not gelatin it is a broken beer bottle with 5-meo-amt coated on it. You suck it to get high. SOurce is someplace on the dea website but I don't feel like lookin. Phentulvor 08:46, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
From personal experience, it is very true that lots of people are selling this any claiming it's LSD. Also it's sold in blotter form also, the only way you can tell is that it has an extreme bitter taste.
i think there needs to be somethin gon this page about how taking meo oraly is the safest, not just the most common way, to ingest the drug. Erowid i believe has an account of a death due to insuffilation of meo, and it's dangerous to have that on there, if people are possibly going to read this if they are curious on how to take it.
"as low as 8 mg"
[edit]Where did you get 8? Erowid lists this to be apart of the strong dose level, below heavy. How can this ever be an overdose at such lower level to the maximum? This can't be an average. Zachorious 02:22, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
Suggests/Problems
[edit]I have two problems with this page. First off I feel most of the page should be re-written, especially "Recreational usage". The main reason is because it states "The most common consumption methods are to smoke, inject, insufflated (aka snorting)" which doesn't seem to be accurate after looking through Erowid Trip Reports. The most common route of administration is oral, then a smaller portion is snorted, and a even smaller portion is other. 5-MeO-AMT is already potent enough, it would be very unlikely (outside medical/research settings) for someone to administer it via IM, or even IV. As for smoking it I have only come across a very few anecdotal reports about it, which definitely would not make it a "most common consumption method".
My second suggest is about "Dangers". I think it should mention the confusion between AMT and 5-MeO-AMT. It has been mentioned before (by Erowid) that people have mistakenly consumed more 5-MeO-AMT believing it was AMT (which is less potent) and ended up in the hospital, or even died. I won't make any serious edits until it has been discussed over.--Astavats 15:10, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

- Agreed, but please remember Wiki is not a forum. On topic I've cleaned it up a bit under "recreational usage" because it was not written well (no offense), and it repeated to much of what was already under "Effects". I'll work on the rest when I get a chance. If you have a problem with my change(s) please discuss it before changing it.--Astavats 08:50, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
