[edit]Doug Harvey played against the Russian while playing for the Quebec Aces he was called up to assist the Montreal Jr Canadians in a Exibition game in 1964 or 1965. The coach was Scotty Bowman and they also had Gump Worsley in Goal. "Doug Harvey played nearly 50 minutes" according to the writer for the Montreal Gazette, Bob Scott. With Gump Worsely in Goal. 6 Pro's were added from the Quebec Aces to the Montreal Jr Canadians . The coach of the Jr Canadians was none other than Scotty Bowman.
The Following year Scotty Bowman talked Jaques Plante into coming out of retirement to play and avenge the 3-2 loss to the Russians. With Jaques Plante in Goal the following year the Montreal Jr Canadians beat the Russians 2 -1. Plante basically stood on his head.
