[edit]Zappa is credited as the "main performer." This credit does not appear on the album jacket and has no specific meaning. If no objections are raised, I will remove it. 66.58.219.109 23:26, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
I made one hardly noticeable edit: the back cover of the CD lists the title of track 7 as Apostrophe' (ie. the word "Apostrophe" with an apostrophe right after it). It looks confusing in quotes, because it is "Apostrophe'" Jjm905 (talk) 02:46, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Jack Bruce
[edit]Jack was obviously joking about playing cello on Apostrophe. Jack does in fact play cello, but not on this album! I think that after the two met they realized that they really didn't get along and were not very musically compatible. Zappa's comments make a lot more sense here than anything Jack has said. Something to this effect should be added to the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.160.93.32 (talk) 20:51, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
Jack Bruce's quote about playing cello on Apostrophe (') can't be taken seriously because:
A: There is no cello on the Apostrophe (') album or on the title song
B: JB was a friend of drummer Jim Gordon who was a mutual friend with Zappa
C: JB is credited on the album with playing bass and co-writing the song (Bruce/Gordon/Zappa)
D: The song is a jam session with only bass, drums and guitar (Bruce/Gordon/Zappa)
E: The bass playing on Apostrophe sounds just like the unique type of playing JB did with Cream
F: Aside from being brilliant, JB is sometimes known for being argumentative and difficult for other musicians to work with
G: As the quote clearly indicates JB made these comments while laughing about the situation! Clearly he was trying to put one over on the interviewer.
I could go on... but I think I have made my point. Thanks.--216.160.93.32 (talk) 07:18, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
- It's 14 years later, and I am removing the claim he didn't play bass and the response. It is obvious trolling. Tarcil (talk) 06:16, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
Don't Eat The Yellow Snow Medley
[edit]Don't Eat The Yellow Snow and Nanook Rubs it should have a shared article because they were released as a single that became popular for Zappa. The lack of important Zappa song articles is sadly numerous. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrmoustache14 (talk • contribs) 15:55, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
Agreed completely. "Don't Eat The Yellow Snow" would make a good article. Friginator (talk) 03:22, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
Did it, I made the article: "Don't Eat the Yellow Snow Suite." If anyone has anyway of improving it, please do! --Mrmoustache14 (talk) 05:42, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
