Greek Cross and CopyVio
[edit]Even if your argument that we can do what Google does was true, the comparison doesn't hold. We want to be able to edit texts, and that goes way beyond simple caching. Greek Cross is a copyvio. Feel free to write a new article that is not a copyvio at Greek_Cross/Temp and let us know on the talk page when you got something. Rl 11:14, 15 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- I hope you stay around long enough to learn how things work here. New editors are always welcome. -- Even if the Greek Cross article looked perfect now (which it doesn't), you wouldn't find anyone to protect it from edits. This is a Wiki: Articles are meant to be edited. We work together to write good articles which are updated and expanded all the time. That's the whole point. Look at the edit history of any decent article in WP and you'll see what I mean.
- Some pages get protected temporarily to let some hot-heads cool down or as means against spambots. Very few pages are always protected because they are great targets for vandals -- most notable the mainpage. Those are rare exceptions, though. Rl 11:43, 15 Apr 2005 (UTC)
