[edit]maybe someone could fix the minor editing/text issues with this page
- Done! :-) --ZekeMacNeil 21:36, 26 August 2005 (UTC)
Is this how Lake Ray Hubbard and the city of wylie got their names? 76.182.229.209 23:10, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
No in both cases. See the articles on Lake Ray Hubbard and Wylie, Texas for that information. Emoll 17:34, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
Wylieworld's edits and potential copyright issue

Just a clarification. Is this acceptable, to just wipe away an entire page and replace it with what looks to be a whole book? Why did he remove the infobox, Austin Music Awards photo that was there (since its SO hard to get photos approved, in my experience) ... just... boom? Gone. (my citations remain, but the word "references" has been removed, which I thought was protocol like the infobox, etc?)
I've been very harshly criticized just for editing out 1-2 paragraphs of a page, so this is pretty startling to me. Is this okay? As I said, just asking for a clarification, since I have never seen this kind of radical change before, where none of the former content (except citations) is left. - @PumpkinButter: it is acceptable, but criticism (from you now and that you've received before) also is. Furthermore, such large edits contain an edit summary if not a talk page discussion precisely to avoid the problem we're having now and because the whole point of Wikipedia is collaboration, which requires communication. Wylieworld, care to explain what you did and why? In particular, the large removal in Special:Diff/923622073 and the addition of, uh, potentially copyrighted material from the Youtube channel in Special:Diff/923622596. The subsequent IP edits are...if you can't fix the citations, leave them alone, for jimbossake.
- What a mess. I'm leaving the admin template up because of the potential copyright issue. Considering how old the Youtube channel is and how recently the change was made, I'm afraid the Youtube channel description was autogenerated before these edits.
- I'm reverting back to PumpkinButter's last edit because the subsequent ones are...baffling. With the potential copyright issue, it's probably easier to slowly re-add potentially helpful edits starting from PumpkinButter's last revision. Also, considering how sparingly (and narrowly) Wylieworld edits, I'm not holding my breath for a response. Rotideypoc41352 (talk) 07:04, 24 November 2019 (UTC)
