WikiProject Ballet

[edit]

Hello! I noticed your image on Talk:En pointe (which is well done... similar attempts by me to take a picture of my own feet have not turned out nearly as well) and I was wondering if you'd like to join Wikipedia:WikiProject Ballet which Editor at Large and I have just started. We've found that the ballet related articles on Wikipedia are sub-par and are trying to collaboratively improve them (see the article improvement page), create more accurate and aesthetically pleasing images (see the image requests page), and make a repository of the resources that are collectively available to Wikipedia editors (see the resources page). If you'd like to help in any way, it'd be very much appreciated! If interested, you can add your name to the participants section or just pitch in wherever. Happy wiki-ing! --Keitei (talk) 18:37, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ondine

[edit]

May I alert you to a discussion on merging Ondine (Sir Frederick Ashton ballet) into Ondine (Henze)! — Robert Greer (talk) 18:45, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

NowCommons: File:Pointeshoe1.JPG

[edit]

File:Pointeshoe1.JPG is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Pointeshoe1.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:Pointeshoe1.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 14:21, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ondine

[edit]

Important! - Round up what few ballet enthusiasts you know on Wikipedia and get them to vote on the proposed merging of the Ondine articles that would see the article about Frederick Ashton's production of the actual ballet, being merged into one about the music.

See here: - Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Classical_music#Straw_Poll

And please vote to oppose this change, as this music would not have been written had it not been for Ashton's ballet!!!

Thank You
