[edit]In reading a Civil War Diary, "A Wartime Diary of a Georgia Girl", Eliza Andrews identifies January 1, 1865 as a Wednesday, rather than a Sunday. Do we have our years out of sync here? I think with the Sesquicentennial of the Civil War we need to correct this ASAP or make a notation on the pages for the war years if the calendar has changed.

I have made some year layout proposals which would affect this page: the year in topic paragraph would be replaced with a see also box.
If no-one flags where I have put the discussion on my talk page that they object in a month I will start making everything consistent. It may take some time... --BozMo 19:04, 6 May 2004 (UTC)(talk)
Mendel
[edit]According to a external link on the Gregor Mendel page, his paper was read to the Bruenn Natural History Society (which is probably what this page means by "formulated") on Feb. 8 and March 8. How would I incorporate this -- two separate dates, or just the first one? Brutannica 02:04, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit]Welsh settlers' arrival at Argentina's Chubut Valley
[edit]This page gives the date 27 July, however elsewhere it's not listed at 27 July but at 28 July. Which is correct? --Duncan MacCall (talk) 14:30, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
Leopold II of Belgium's accession
[edit]Leopold II became King of the Belgians on December 17, 1865. A week after his father's (Leopold I) death. In Belgium, the royal succession isn't automatic, but rather occurs upon the taking of the accession oath before the Belgian Parliament. GoodDay (talk) 01:14, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
