Pronunciation of name
[edit]This is in the intro: "originally " I'm not sure what that is referring to. Is it the pronunciation of a nickname? ... discospinster talk 20:23, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- I think it's supposed to be a pronunciation of Dolce, I think I may have actually seen Joe use a variation on that pronunciation in reference to himself (or possibly the meaning of his surname) as himself but generally I would have though it is only rendered as (as used in the article) or notably a harder 'o' than from Dolce & Gabanna who use Stuart.Jamieson (talk) 09:51, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Bibliography
[edit]I have commenced a tidy-up of the Bibliography section using cite templates. Capitalization and punctuation follow standard cataloguing rules in AACR2 and RDA, as much as Wikipedia templates allow it. ISBNs and other persistent identifiers, where available, are commented out, but still available for reference. Feel free to continue. Sunwin1960 (talk) 04:40, 26 June 2017 (UTC)

Vandalism of page by malicious editing
[edit]Concern: some ‘editor’ has vandalised this page beyond recognition. All references to work and personal life after 1988 have been deleted: Thirty-four years of details about Joe Dolce’s later and extensive activities in writing and poetry. This material should be reinstated and whichever editor or editors that decimated this page should have editing privileges suspended as the page is now completely out of date. 124.170.107.167 (talk) 19:01, 3 February 2022 (UTC)

- I see that you added this information back into the article. The reason why the information was removed was that it was uncited. I have added a banner at the top indicating this problem. Since this person is living, Wikipedia is much more strict about what can and cannot be in the article (see WP:BLP for more information). Please add citations for the uncited paragraphs, or remove that information from the article. Thanks. Z1720 (talk) 00:48, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
