- Hello Ranjran, welcome to Wikipedia! Nice edit on Zakir Hussain -- it's wonderful to have someone who knows something about Indian music. If you have any questions, let me know! I actually had a few questions for you, please don't feel obligated to answer them. Thanks! Chadloder 04:25, Aug 7, 2003 (UTC)
- Do you know anything about Islamic music such as Qawaali or Khyal? If so, there are some artists mentioned on the Radio Kabul article that I would like to know more about...
- Is the phrase Ustad a title of respect? What does it mean (e.g. Ustad Alla Rakha or Ustad Farida Mahwash)?
- Would you consider trying to improve the articles on Indian music and Indian classical music? I think there are many more schools and forms of music which should be explained...the history and development of the different schools should be addressed, there needs to mention of things like Khyal, Dhrupad (the articles exist but are not mentioned), and more information about different instruments and artists!
If you had to consolidate all the Cocos (Keeling) Islands subpages into one article, did you have to do it when I was halfway through updating them? —Paul A 09:45, 22 Aug 2003 (UTC)
Hello - I think you probably want to adjust the Zakir Hussain link on your home page to point to Zakir Hussain (musician), as plain old Zakir Hussain is now a disambiguation page. Anyway, that's not what I'm here for. On the tabla page, it has separate "Famous players" entries for "Ustad" and "alla Rakha", but this has (I assume) got to be a mistake for Ustad Alla Rakha, where someone first tried to link separately to Ustad (as a title), and someone else who didn't know his name thought they were two separate entries. If I'm in error her, please correct me! Thank you. Noel (talk) 18:34, 23 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Ayyavazhi
[edit]Greetings.
I have been doing some copy-editing on the Hindu faith Ayyavazhi. The material could use some expert cleaning, someone aware of the Hindu faith. The pages are several, and the stories are many:

Speedy deletion of Gandhigram Rural Institute
[edit]A tag has been placed on Gandhigram Rural Institute requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
