As discussed with User:Huaiwei in his talk page, a more appropriate category would be Category:Republic of Singapore Navy bases.
As I am unfamiliar with the rules here, I mistakenly de-populated Category:Republic of Singapore Navy naval bases and shifted the two articles in the old cateogory to a new category Category:Republic of Singapore Navy naval bases. I sincerely apologize for the mistake.
As it is a hassle to re-edit the articles, I was wondering if I could just let them be in the new category? If otherwise, I will revert back to the old category.

- Unless anyone can point out either (a) some naval bases not for the use of a navy, or (b) any navy bases that aren't naval, I don't see anything wrong with this suggestion. Grutness|hello? 08:36, 8 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete Category:Republic of Singapore Navy naval bases, as agreed earlier. I actually forgot to list it here, until I saw travis listing it in speedy edit. :D--Huaiwei 09:58, 8 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- Complete move and delete former. James F. (talk) 14:56, 8 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The category was ambiguous (did it categorize players of Canadian football or Canadian players of American football?) To resolve this, Category:Canadian football players and Category:Canadian American football players was created (consistent with category naming conventions in other sport), and thus this could be speedied. kelvSYC 19:15, 8 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

- delete it's not ambiguous and is tidier - it categorizes Canadians who play either NFL football or CFL football, both gridiron. but i just noticed how Rugby League and Rugby union players get seperate cats and i do think american CFLers do deserve to be designated "canadian sportspeople", so the having two cats is useful too. a minor point but i think the word gridiron should be put into the two new cats though for the benefit of non-North Americans Mayumashu 05:44, 9 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- The latter is used within the text of category pages. For example, the text in Category:Canadian football players directs users to Category:Canadian soccer players, Category:Canadian American football players, or Category:Canadian rugby union footballers for Canadian players of other kinds of football. kelvSYC 11:38, 9 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
