I think that the page is useful and would not quibble with what has been done. It is a fact that geology is a subject that covers many topics and would need many links just for a summary coverage of those topics of interest and relevance to our understanding of the earth. I have not used Wikipedia yet and do not know enough about the goals, limitations, restrictions, etc. to make any meaningful contribution.

My career was in Petroleum Geology and Petroleum Engineering. During this career I was fortunate to gain extensive experience in exploring for oil and natural gas and in apprasing the discoveries with addtional wells. Expertise was gained in many areas of this interesting subject, especially in developing and producing fields after the appraisal phase. For some time, I have been thinking about how I might pass on some of the things that I learned and wonder if Wikipedia might be the place to write up some of the things that I discovered over a long and interesting career in many different countries.

Most of the subject quickly become quite complex and would be of more interest to those working various parts of the petrolum industry. However, I would like each section or topic to start with a succicnt summary or introduction that could be read and understood by most readers. Oil and natural gas will loom ever larger in the near term future for all the peoples of the earth and it would be good if more of them had ready access to information that would help them to understand the source, volume, production, transport, refining and marketing of oil and natural gas.
